On Wednesday, (today is Friday) I had my nuchal transparency ultrasound. It took about an hour of poking and prodding to get the baby into the exact right position to get a measurement of the neck fold. And it kind of hurt. She said that my ovaries were easy to find (not usually the case) because they were still a little over-stimulated. A nuchal transparency is a ultrasound/blood test to check for chromosomal abnormalities such as Down Syndrome. She also said the skin fold looked thin which was good. I officially get the results next week sometime.
It was amazing to see the baby move. The baby kept jumping and straightening out during the ultrasound. The baby’s arms were moving and elbows and knees were bending. It was incredible. It was very emotional to watch.
Wed night I started to have abdominal pain with rolling in bed. It worsed on Thurs to at times having difficulty standing up straight. It felt like sharp and stabbing pain. Sometimes near my uterus but mostly higher up or to the right or left. Today, it’s coming and going. I am seeing a regular ob. I tried calling but there off today. My RE said that this might happen because of the extensive endo. He said cramping and pain might occur off and on and would be normal for me. I am still nervous but it does seem to be getting better.
I guess I have a right to be nervous with all that I have been through.
Lots of of folks blog about this subject but you said really true words!!
